| This is the best tutorial on Java I've come across, after lengthy searching and a few books. Likely areas of learner confusion are anticipated and explained. Nice logical presentation of chapters with lots of interesting (and understandable) examples with well commented source code.
If you can find another tutorial that does as good a job of taking a beginner programmer from programming basics through to topics such as multithreading, double buffering, exception catching I'd like to know about it! Forget Sun - get your java feet wet with this one!
