| Wouldn't it be nice to be able to simply include vector graphics into web pages, without having to export, transform and worry about such details as resolution, file size etc... Wouldn't it be nice if Netscape, Internet Explorer and others would support the Macintosh Pictfile format. Wouldn't it be great if there was some library to handle those Pict files for yourJava program? This applet displays Quickdraw pictures (Macintosh PICT files). This way pict files can be used inside web page in a simple way. It is fully writen in Java 1.0. so it should be compatible with any java enabled browser. In practice this means you simply put some special tags in your page, save your picture as a Pict file, and here it goes. The applet takes care of everything it scales the pictures and displays it right into your web page. You want a clickable image, it already is, simply link sometext item with an url and it works. |
