| Pipes are a tool I use when I have to manipulate data. They are an effectiveway to read and write files. They are how I parse the output of commands,selecting and rejecting information. They are great when collections of datahave to be sorted, merged, colated, or massaged in almost any way. The datacan come from files, commands, tcpip, sql, arrays, rexx objects etc. Pipesencapsulate threads, simplify programming.New features with this release: The njPipes compiler now determines if a .njp file contains java orNetRexx code and can processes either. This makes njPipes simple to use fromjava. The second feature is improved tcpip support. Its now good enough forreal applications. he examples directory contains a simple one called, tcpecho,which lets you watch SAP gui sessions. |
