| OpManager is a real surprise. It exceeding my expectations, which were set much lower for a product of its price. Having used other frameworks in my previous company and smaller NMS apps in my present company, I was surprised to see the numerous features that it has. It helps manage not just devices but also gives the best of LAN and WAN management. Great stuff to have to manage your applications, servers, databases along with the swtiches and routers. It automates a lot of reporting chores, which we earlier used to do, and my team members are now spending more time on capacity planning and migration stuff than monitoring the network and generating reports for my boss. Have not run it on Solaris but I assume it should be fine as it runs on Linux and Windows like a breeze. |
