| The JLAN Server implements the SMB/CIFS, NFS and FTP protocols. A standard filesystem interface is provided by a driver class that can then map the filesystem to the local filesystem, database or other device/repository. All of the protocol handling is dealt with by the core server code.
A simple filesystem driver that maps to the local filesystem is included.
A JDBC based filesystem driver is also included that uses pluggable loader classes to load/store the file data. File loader implementations that use the local filesystem and a seperate database table using BLOB fields are included.
The JLAN Server is designed to be easily customizeable so many of the core classes such as virtual filesystem drivers, file loaders, authenticator, share mapper, debug output and server configuration are all replaceable.
The supplied JLANServer application uses an XML file to enable the various protocols and configure the virtual filesystems.
A programmers guide is included in the kit.
