| EazyDB consists of a client-side API written in Java and server-side implemented in both ASP and Java Servlets. Together they form two of the 3 tiers in a Three tier architecture. The client API is a very lightweight(~20k) set of Java classes that communicate with the server code which marshalls data back and forth to the third tier which is the database.
The communication between the client and the middle tier(EazyDB server components) supports on-the-fly compression that can be enabled or disabled per connection. In other words, a large set of data can be requested with compression enabled and a small set can be requested without compression at the same time. The performance and load on both the client and EazyDB server can be tweaked by properly using the compression mechanism.

| i'm a web developer. i am a novice java programmer. with the help of eazyDB, i was able to develop a nice administrator applet for managing my clients database - add, edit, delete records - searches and reports. i plug in the SQL statement and eazyDB did the rest. AWESOME! |
