| db4o - database for objects - is a fast and smart Java object database optimized for wireless devices. A footprint of 50 kB saves device memory and allows online-download. Query-By-Example minimizes resource consumption and improves performance. Automatic object recognition permits zero-admin deployment. High integration with the Java programming language omits driver overhead and maximizes speed. Changes to application classes are not necessary to make objects persistent. db4o stores objects faster than JDBC/SQL databases, because it omits 5 of the 8 steps that others need: objects = strings = JDBC = transport layer = strings = query parser = objects within db driver = tables = storage medium. 3 classes with 17 functions allow productive work after 1 hour of learning. |

| OO Databases are cool! If you are at all interested in the many benefits that OO databases have to offer I highly recommend that you check out this product. It is a great tool as well as introduction to the power that OO databases can leverage. |
